Our aim is to accompany and be part of the journey of those people who are feeling the need to transform their lives in order to be able to live without suffering, discomfort, or pain. Warmth, understanding, and welcome are the cornerstones of Integria Psychology, as experience has shown us that the bond between therapist and patient is essential to healing our deepest wounds.
If you feel that it is time to work on yourself and your wellbeing, we are at your disposal to start this path of self-confidence, trust, and liberation.
Integrative relational psychology is the result of the contributions of numerous theoretical schools – psychodynamic; humanistic; behavioural; systemic; neurocognitive; transactional; anthropological and psychoanalytical – where the intervention is holistic.
Richard G. Erskine and Rebecca L. Trautmann conceived integrative therapy under several clear premises:
- The creation of a secure bond between patient and therapist.
- Respect and genuine concern for the patient.
- Attunement to the patient's feelings, sensations, and needs.
- Total involvement with and for the client in their wellbeing.
Therapeutic work focuses on a holistic approach in all areas of their lives where there may be discomfort or internal fragmentation, as the aim is to achieve reparation through the integration of these painful experiences.
This work of integration requires a reorganization of beliefs, feelings, and behaviors about oneself, others, and one's psychic self.
The person is conceived as a physical, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive being, i.e. as a whole immersed in a social, cultural, and natural world.
Ultimately, integrative psychotherapy means being open to knowing oneself, analyzing oneself critically and compassionately, accepting and exploring ways of constructing and integrating experiences and meanings.
These precepts are the basis of the work at Integria Psychology, as we go beyond the clinical diagnosis to see the person who suffers and needs a space where they feel safe, accepted, and loved.
